Rosehill and Rosehill East Parks are located in Overland Park on the border of Lenexa between US69 and I35 above 435 in the little triangle of the map. Actually, when first visiting these parks I met someone there who asked if I had been to the other Lenexa parks. That’s how close it is between cities. Both of these parks are connected by trail and are really close to each other.
The first park, Rosehill Park, is located off 103th and Noland, while Rosehill East is located off Rosehill a few blocks over.
Rosehill Park
This is an 11-acre park with plenty of green space, benches, picnic tables, a bouncing dinosaur, a swing for infants and one traditional. There is also a playground. Rosehill Playground features steps, a rock mountain, curved ladder, that go up to platforms that you can get to the two slides. There is one twisty slide and double curved slide. You’ll also find a pull up bar for kids to play on. There is also a trail that will connect you to Rosehill East or just for walking.
Rosehill East
Rosehill East Park has been recently redone in the last year or so, this park is just over 7 acres of fun. There is a nice shelter with a grill and picnic tables and plenty of green space to play and run. The play area has two traditional swings and one infant swing.
Rosehill East Playground has a steps, curved ladder, lilly pad steps and rock mountain to get to the double slide feature. This park also has a spider web for climbing, monkey bars, and a surf board. This park has astroturf which is nice and soft feeling.
Don’t forget to check out other Overland Park Parks or explore outside the city and see other parks near by.
