My favorite thing to do when my kids where younger is having a set of books I pulled out for the holidays and seasons. We still read many of these each holiday season. We wanted to shared some of our favorites with you to maybe add some of these to your collection!

Board Books for Thanksgiving
Board books are great for babies and toddlers. They are shorter and have interacting features. Some favorites are Where is Baby’s Turkey? , Gobble Wobble is a book with movements and finger puppet. Llama Llama Gives Thanks is about thanks for family and foods.
We don’t have this one but looks like a lot of fun if you like monkeys Happy Thanksgiving Curious George.
Easy Reader Thanksgiving Books
Easy readers or learning to read books are great for kids who are starting to read, depending on the level number. These books work for read out loud but also work great if you want them to read on their own. If you are looking for a funny book Amelia Bedelia Talks Turkey is a fun one to start with. Looking for a little more about the history of Thanksgiving but easier for kids? The Step Reader The First Thanksgiving is a great one!
Thanksgiving Picture Books
Thanksgiving picture books have both classics and popular new characters. One classic story is coming out with a new book and we are so excited! Berenstain Bears Meet Bigpaw: A Thanksgiving Story is about acceptance and making new friends. Berenstain Bears Thanksgiving Blessing is part of the living light collection remind us to be thankful for the things we have. Fancy Nancy Our Thanksgiving Banquet, Fancy Nancy always make everything more fancy and loves to introduce new and bigger words. Bear Says Thanks is all about learning to say Thanks when his friends show up. Thanksgiving in the Woods is based off 20 year tradition of having Thanksgiving surrounded by trees.
A classic book is A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving based of the beloved Thanksgiving TV special. Of course another classic is the How to Series with How to Catch a Turkey.
Chapter Books for Thanksgiving
Great for more in-depth learning or learning on there own. Our favorite series of course has a book on the subject, What was the First Thanksgiving? A few other favorites is from the Magic Tree House series Thanksgiving on Thursday. Calendar Mysteries November Night is fun for those who love mysteries with a bit of Thanksgiving thrown in.

Balloons over Broadway is a story about the puppeteer of Macy’s Parade that happen on Thanksgiving Day parade.
